Danny Lalor Fitzpatrcik's work Sleep Inertia explores the boundaries between dream and reality. There are five chapters in this work (Drowning, Shadow, Trapped, Multiply, Watched) and each one deals with a particular elemnt of the conscious or subconscious state. The colour pallet, which favours blue and white light, is intended to evoke the expierience or memory of dreams. Much of the imagery is drawn from the ordinary behaviours and routines of everyday life, but at certin moments, macro lenses are used to create extreme close-ups of specific details, producing the effect of a warped reality.
